Former and at the time of writing current US President Donald Trump is making bold moves in the world of digital assets. According to Fortune, he’s involved in a new Web3 gaming project that fuses cryptocurrency and mobile gameplay.
Set to launch in late April 2025, the game will reportedly take inspiration from MONOPOLY GO!, where players earn virtual money and build digital cities. While similarities to the popular board game have been denied, sources say the style and mechanics feel familiar.

The project is being led by Bill Zanker, a close associate of “The Donald”. Zanker was previously involved in launching Trump’s memecoin and various NFT collections.
Despite the resemblance to Monopoly, a spokesperson for Zanker said the game is an original concept. However, sources claim Zanker did reach out to Hasbro, the owner of Monopoly, in May 2024 to license the brand for a Trump-themed version. That deal hasn’t materialised — and Zanker declined Fortune’s request for comment.
